Lesson 2.2: The Fixed Displacement Motor

This is the "receiving" unit, connected to the pump by a closed loop of hydraulic passages. It's also an axial piston design, but its swashplate is fixed at a steep angle.

The high-pressure oil coming from the pump forces the pistons in the motor to move, which causes the motor's cylinder block to rotate.

This rotation is the output power that will eventually turn the wheels.
